Week of 10.20.14 :: Electro-Pop * Ellie Goulding & Calvin Harris - Outside

In my opinion, Ellie Goulding can crank out hit after hit without anyone's help. But that doesn't stop her from collaborating with others - Iggy Azalea, Skrillex, Zedd, Madeon, Tinie Tempha, to name a few. This time, to follow up their hit "I Need Your Love", Ellie loaned her voice to fellow UK-native and world-famous DJ/singer-songwriter, Calvin Harris. Amidst ever-circulating rumors of romance, the pair recently released a single called "Outside".

The song features Harris's signature usage of electronic sounds blended with strings for a fuller effect, and of course, Goulding's signature and incredibly controlled vocals. "Outside" stays true to the pair's strong-suite - dance/electronics-driven songs - and will make you wish that they would just write every song together.
